To protect your furniture, clean up spills quickly, use coasters and trivets for hot cups, pans/pizza etc. To clean your wooden furniture, use a damp cloth and dry off immediately. Use mild soap as needed, avoid cleaners or polishes that have ammonia, oil, or silicone-based products, as they can damage the finish. For significant damage, consult a solid wood repair professional such as Mohawk.

Over time some of the wood surface can get dried out, especially if in direct sunlight or dry climates. If drying is excessive, you can use lemon oil sparingly to condition the wood.

Since solid wood is a natural material, it ages over time, use a touchup marker, such as Minwax stain marker, to mask signs of aging or touch up small scratches or damages that occur over time.
